Description:
The Standard Pipe Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving sales growth, building, and nurturing customer relationships, and managing customer accounts for domestically produced standard pipes within the United States. This role focuses on industries such as PVF (pipes, valves, and fittings), plumbing, fire, sprinkler systems, industrial and mechanical sectors, HVAC, wholesale and master distribution, OEMs, and service centers. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and results-driven sales professional, with the ability to identify and develop new opportunities while delivering exceptional customer service.
1. Qualifications:
1.1 Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
1.2 Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in standard pipe manufacturing environment in the USA.
1.3 Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
1.4 Strong understanding of the manufacturing process, product specifications, and relevant industry standards (e.g., ASTM, UL, FM certifications).
1.5 Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
1.8 Outside sales experience with a domestic standard pipe mill in the USA.1.6 Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
1.7 Willingness to travel extensively to meet clients and attend industry events.
2. Responsibilities & Activities:
2.1. Collect, monitor, analyze, and report market intelligence, and trends about the A120 /A53 Pipe industry, customers, and competitors.
2.2. Follow production and inventory levels, and update customers with production completion and shipment timeframe.
2.3. Develop and maintain relationships with assigned customers, ensuring their satisfaction with products and services.
2.4. Prospect new customers, continuously optimize customer portfolio, create new revenue opportunities, and improve customer processes and services.
2.5. Oversee and follow the full cycle of orders from inquiry to payment.
2.6. Ensuring purchase order commercial and technical terms and conditions are reviewed and met.
2.7. Managing and tracking quotations, sales orders, shipments, and payments.
2.8. Managing inventory levels effectively by maintaining a good stock mix and projecting future orders for inventory.
2.9. Managing customer complaints, product or service-related claims, and customer disputes.
2.10. Frequently meet with existing and potential customers on an agreed-upon frequency.
2.11. Prepare monthly activity reports, and summarize all sales & operational activities of the month.
2.12. Other duties as assigned as needed.

3.1. This position reports to the Director of Sales.
