What are the responsibilities and job description for the SRM Stand Repair Maintenance Operator position at Borusan Pipe USA?
Job Duties: Perform SRM stand maintenance functions. Load and unload stand into SRM Machine and into the maintenance area at maintenance times. Follow-up on the preparation of the stands in accordance with the work order. Follow the production closely and intervene immediately regarding issues caused by the stand box. Collaborate and work alongside workstation operators. Ensure proper work order sequence and production quantities. Provide feedback to the Supervisor and production Engineer. Train other workers on the changeover combinations and operations of SRM equipment. Keep the maintenance parameters and settings within the MES/PC.
Ensure all PPE policies, safety rules, and 5S implementation procedures are followed. Set up convenient combination of stand. Check that diameters of stands are working efficiently and set up correctly regarding all parameters before the start of work order. Make sure all stands are ready for SRM machine operation. Make sure the CCR operator has information about the stands. Ensure that the stands combination are adjusted and in row according to pipe sizes. Check for ovality, pipe sizes, surface quality, and visually inspect the pipe. Record stand roll machining parameters on MES/PC. Identify the causes of operational errors and inform the Supervisors and production Engineer.
Requirements: High school diploma/GED and 3 years of experience as an SRM Stand Repair Maintenance Operator or related occupation. Position also requires 3 years of experience with:
- Knowledge of the manufacturing SRM mill processes, procedures, and quality conditions.
- Operating machinery, hand tools and hand-held measurement devices such as calipers and micrometers.
- Use of machining tools such as ID roll Measuring Device is required.
- Mechanical assembly, welding and working with required tolerance conditions.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Identifying and rectifying bearing, seal and spare stock situations.
- PPE policies and 5S implementation procedures.
