We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager (AGM) to join our team at a premier coastal Italian restaurant and rooftop lounge . This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional with fine dining and beverage management experience who is ready to grow into a General Manager (GM) role. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for hospitality, and the drive to deliver exceptional guest experiences while contributing to the growth and success of our establishment.
Primary Responsibilities :
Leadership & Staff Development :
Assist the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of restaurant and rooftop lounge operations.
Lead and mentor front-of-house staff and supervisors, fostering a collaborative and professional team culture.
Act as a role model for exceptional service standards, providing ongoing training and performance feedback.
Operations Management :
Ensure smooth daily operations, working closely with the GM and Chef.
Support the development and implementation of efficient systems to maintain the highest standards of service and product quality.
Monitor service flow, resolving guest concerns promptly and ensuring guest satisfaction.
Financial Oversight :
Assist in managing budgets, labor costs, and expenses to meet financial targets.
Collaborate on inventory management, vendor relations, and purchasing to maintain cost efficiency.
Generate operational reports to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.
Beverage Program Oversight :
Work with the General Manager to develop and maintain an elevated wine and cocktail program, with a focus on Italian wines and innovative cocktails.
Train staff in beverage knowledge, service standards, and pairings to enhance the guest experience.
Guest Experience & Brand Representation :
Actively engage with guests, ensuring memorable dining and lounge experiences.
Uphold and enhance the restaurant’s reputation as a fine dining destination through personalized service and attention to detail.
Requirements :
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Assistant General Manager, Beverage Manager, or comparable leadership role in a fine dining environment.
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine, wines, and coastal dining trends.
Proven ability to lead and inspire a team while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.
Experience with financial management, including budgeting, cost controls, and P&L reporting.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a focus on guest satisfaction.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualification
Experience managing rooftop or lounge operations is highly desirable.
Familiarity with POS and restaurant management software systems.
