Job Description
Bosch is seeking an experienced commercial analyst to join Bosch’s corporate strategy team. This Sr Strategy Analyst will aid Bosch in evaluating new market opportunities and defining actionable strategies to drive growth in Bosch’s North American businesses.
- Lead strategy projects and project management from initiation and scoping through final presentation and delivery.
- Utilize primary (interviews, conferences) and secondary research (report review, data analysis) methods to identify actionable market and business-related insights.
- Provide market intelligence (e.g., market size, shares, segments and significant market trends) to support new and ongoing business initiatives.
- Translate insights into synthesis documents (Competitive comparisons, customer journeys, customer segments, case studies) and actionable strategy proposals (Business pitches, business financial analysis, business cases, portfolio expansions, channel and RTM evaluations, go-to-market strategies, etc.)
- Pitch business opportunities and strategic proposals to executive stakeholders.
- Monitor evolving market trends in specific sectors and proactively recommend actions to constituent business areas.
The role will support multiple business units/brands and will participate in projects ranging from novel innovation ideas, new market entry, sales/marketing initiatives, operations improvement, M&A target assessment, and more.
Flexibility required: Must be willing to work across time zones and national borders. Some domestic and international travel will be required.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Engineering, or associated fields
- 3-5 years of experience in a strategy development role or 3 years in management consulting.
- 3 years of experience with wide range of data collection and analytical methodologies, including market sizing, competitive analysis, business intelligence, customer needs analysis, financial modeling and valuation, portfolio review (invest vs. divest) and forecasting/econometrics.
- Advanced skillset in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Must be qualified to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Preferred:
- Passion for solving complex and challenging problems
- Solid critical thinking, problem solving, analytical and modeling, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Experience with relevant verticals (e.g. industrial products, energy & grid, mobility, consumer appliances, manufacturing, power tools).
- Experience running or managing a product or business
- Ability to work independently and with Global Teams
- Fundamental understanding of UX methodologies and practices
- Strong project management skills with ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Awareness of key economic, technological business trends and drivers
- Excellent communication and interpretation skills including ability to succinctly present analyses supported by facts
- High degree of professionalism and integrity, fast self-learner, ability to work with minimal supervision
- Proficiency desk/primary research tools, and modeling tools (Tableau, Power BI).
