Working as part of the Automotive Aftermarket division, the HW Diagnostics Product Manager is responsible for creating the overall roadmap for the (North American) NA Diagnostics including the light vehicle and Heavy Duty vehicle.
The successful candidate will be passionate about resolving customer issues, and be excited by the evolving vehicle technologies within the industry. You will have proven experience in developing commercial and technical solutions in the automotive industry, managing multiple projects and driving business and financial performance of these businesses

Job Description

General Responsibilities
- Representing the PAD Product Area for Diagnostics including the VCI (Vehicle Communication Interface) Topics in North America
- Support the local implementation of the Global strategy for Diagnostics and delivering suitable go to market and commercial models, taking into account regional requirements and challenges.
- Work with the ‘upstream engineering’ groups to identify new Bosch technology introductions
- Work with the Sales Organization to develop market requirements and generate profitable sales.
- Work with cross-functional teams to establish the investment, return on investment and support the ‘go or no go’ decision and ‘make or buy’ evaluation.
- Communicating with and managing internal and external product and solution providers.
- Working with existing stakeholders to support the development, approval and release processes
- Support the launch for new products launched in NA.
- Rationalize the portfolio items and provide clarity on the profitable items to keep vs. the ones to phase out
- Ensuring local, regional and global certification requirements
- Evaluate market development and derive strategic actions to grow the product lines further including product & price management.
- Working with IAM B2B partners and consumers to define, agree and execute against specific requirements and identifying new opportunities based on specific market needs and/or new vehicle technology introductions
- 5 years experience in Product Management desirable
- Bachelors degree in engineering or business discipline, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
- Excellent Interpersonal and analytical skills
- Ability to influence decision making processes and negotiate “win-win” situations
- At ease with introducing processes and drive change in an unstructured environment
- Excellent understanding of Vehicle Diagnostics preferred
- Knowledge of HW and electronics to have a POV on the next generation of scan tools
- Knowledge of the operation of an IAM workshop desirable
- Knowledge of project management is desirable
- Familiarity with SAP is desirable
