Job Description
This job is responsible for receiving, stocking, issuing and shipping material to meet the Production Plan. A major aspect of this function is to perform the above, while maintaining accurate inventory, accurate records, as well as providing relevant information inter-departmentally. This job may require some lifting as well.
Responsibilities
- Physically receive all incoming materials into plant, verify materials, process into Inventory system, and disperse to appropriate areas including stock rooms
- Ship spare parts to repair vendors
- Ship finished products to customers
- Verify physical inventory count
- Maintain accurate inventory of all items
- Deliver materials and parts to end users
- Coordinate / assist with internal customers (demand managers / order managers)
- Schedule incoming shipments with daily deliveries
- Generate BOL and communicate with freight carriers (domestic / international)
- Learn import / export shipping (including interface with courier’s system)
