Job Summary
The Product Quality Manager works with cross-functional project teams to ensure product and process quality improvement meeting high Bosch standards. This individual contributor position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic team environment with diverse individuals and groups located worldwide.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a high level of self-motivation, a drive for self-development and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in addition to strong analytical skills, a committed attention to detail and the ability to work within a structured product development process.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for product and process quality within a gated product engineering process.
- Assess the maturity and quality of hardware and software products in the engineering product quality role.
- Train and mentor associates on various quality methods including risk analysis and root cause investigation.
- Monitor field performance using global returns database.
- SUPPORT THE CORRECTIVE ACTION PROCESS USING THE 8D PRINCIPLES.
- Work closely with manufacturing plant to address product and process quality issues.
- SUPPORT ENGINEERING TEAM WITH DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS (DOE).
- Identify and lead product and process continuous improvement projects (CIP) throughout the organization.
- SUPPORT SUSTAINING ENGINEERING DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience as a quality professional.
- Expert in quality methods e.g.- QFD, CTQ, FMEA, DRBFM.
- BS in engineering discipline or related technical degree with 5 years relevant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of software development and quality.
- Experience with MS Excel and Minitab (or other statistical software).
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to work across global time zones.
Preferred Qualifications
- DFSS experience in software/electronic hardware design and development.
- DMAIC familiarity.
- Measurement system analysis (e.g.- Gage R&R).
Additional Information
This is not a manufacturing quality role. Work is performed in an office environment requiring routine sitting, standing and occasional lifting up to 15 pounds. Future sponsorship for work authorization is not available.
This full-time position has a U.S. base salary range of $95,000 to $115,000.
