Responsibilities
- Lead IT Solution Delivery for all areas supporting our retail operations (Planning & Merchandising, Allocation, Inventory Management, Point of Sale, Shared Services [Finance, HR], Distribution)
- Deliver platforms, capabilities and solutions that drive value for our customers and our organization. This includes the balanced portfolio of product management, project management and operations delivery.
- Integrate the various lines within the applications teams into a high-performing unit, maximizing talent, improving effectiveness, and minimizing waste/inefficiency.
- Leading the transformation of delivering value from IT solutions and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with business leaders to solicit their input and buy-in for investments in their area; establish timelines properly balanced to ensure that critical milestones are met on time and within budget.
- Identify and recommend system solutions that meet the needs of the business. Commission Impact Analysis (program timeline, resources, costing, capabilities delivered) with managers/directors in the team and in the business to be presented to management.
- Identify key capabilities required for success and create plans to achieve.
- Partner with colleagues to execute the IT vision and ensure that all outcomes and deliverables align with organizational goals, objectives and quality standards.
- Lead various application teams in the development and upgrade of the company’s application portfolio.
- Prepare initiatives for information systems and application systems through efficient coordination with internal customers.
- Develop plan for return on investment and prepare strategies to reduce operational risks and cost.
- Prepare and implement various resource and budgetary plans
- Ensure compliance with all security policies and procedures for company and ensure efficient work of staff.
- Coordinate with vendors and prepare appropriate communication for all application suite.
- Prepare necessary status updates to senior management.
- 5-7 years retail experience with emphasis on leading applications development team.
- Exceptional leadership skills and ability to achieve the best technical outcome on time and in scope
- Undergraduate degree in related field required, Masters preferred.
- IBM z/OS Mainframe Cobol, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO
- HTML and Java based web applications
- XML
- Microsoft .Net
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Microsoft Office, Project, Access, and Visio
- Mobile and Digital experience a plus
