Position Overview:
Supply Chain Specialists at Bose Professional are responsible for the supply chain planning and procurement process for assigned product families. They establish a balance between supplier and customers for specific products. Specialists understand and align to global customer demand, create global supply plans and manufacturing production schedules and communicate the finished goods requirements to suppliers. They act as the focal point for information, communication and escalation of major supply constraints and opportunities to internal forums for rapid resolution. They are lead facilitators and drivers of the planning process utilizing ERP to analyze and execute inventory planning, procurement, and distribution with alignment to corporate targets and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
Supply Planning
- Accountable for developing, implementing, and maintaining a supply strategy for the global distribution and manufacturing network, including contract manufacturers or internal assembly operations, for assigned products.
- Analyze and create weekly master supply plans based on demand and supply constraints that support customer fill rate service levels and balance demand and inventory at each node of the Global Supply Chain.
- Clearly and concisely communicate aligned plans for shortage and excess conditions internally or at contract manufacturers.
- Manage global allocation of product shortages with sales alignment.
- Clearly communicate with regional demand planners and sales operations to resolve problems
- Maintain planning master data within planning systems to ensure data integrity.
Finished Good Production Buying
- Accountable for production buying and driving execution of prioritized global supply strategy (right time/right location/right volume).
- Responsible to create and manage purchase order and forecast with contract manufacturers including confirmation dates, volumes and receipt locations.
- Negotiate lead time, lot size and capacity as needed to optimize procurement strategies.
- Clearly and concisely escalate constraints to internal and external partners to drive rapid resolution.
Scenario Planning (What if)/Business Management
- Develop demand and supply scenarios to continuously improve performance relating to both service levels and total costs through continuous evaluation of supply, product strategies and the positioning of inventory across the global supply chain.
- Utilize shipping analysis tools to determine and execute profitable shipping strategies globally.
Supplier Capacity Management
- Set and manage the supplier future production requirements in support of global supply needs.
- Support supplier relationships by providing collaborative, rolling, long-term production requirements.
Lifecycle Management
- Actively participate and support new product introduction to ensure that supply network plans are optimally created and that supply plans are executed in support of the established timelines.
- Manage lifecycle changes including distribution changes and end-of-life (EOL).
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated expertise in critical thinking, influence, negotiation, problem solving, analytics and strategic thinking.
- Understand supply chain capabilities to supply effective solutions to constraints.
- Use critical thinking to scrutinize details of complex situations.
- Directly address challenges using data and deliver results using sound analytics.
- Create awareness of forecast or inventory misalignments to drive collaborative resolution.
- Create balance in supply and demand plans with suppliers based on forecast, capacity and materials lead times.
- Ability to create and foster a team-based environment to establish and maintain a cooperative relationship with individuals.
