The Product Engineering group is accountable to architect, engineer, develop, and deliver best-in-class audio experiences and products for consumer and automotive Bose customers. Our group of 400 team members is global with locations in several countries across Europe, Asia, and North America. We work on all phases of development from ideation to advanced development to development and launch into manufacturing. We leverage partnerships with manufacturing and technology companies to gain scale and speed in program delivery. We are responsible for establishing and refining the tools and core processes that drive and govern functional technical excellence that distinguish Bose premium products.
The Product Engineering group is part of a larger Global Research and Development organization. We are building an Operations and Strategic Project Management capability to support the larger organization. As part of that capability, we are looking for a Project Manager/Technology Consultant who will report directly to the Vice President, Engineering. This role will join our leadership team focusing on the tools, core processes, and operational strategies to ultimately increase the efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness of our global engineering organization.
Some of your core responsibilities:
- Driving strategic priorities: Perform as a bridge between VP plus direct reports (all at director level) and our global team of 400 team members to ensure our strategic priorities are clearly communicated and understood throughout the organization while at the same time identify areas for improvement and drive recommendations.
- Reporting and Tracking: Prepare and lead the creation of executive presentations, ensuring they reflect team progress and strategic priorities. Maintain regular update cycles for VP, direct reports, and extended organization.
- Consulting with Leadership: Foster collaboration between our global development teams and identify opportunities for synergy to drive team effectiveness and productivity.
- Drive Improvement Activities: Understand our strategic goals and foster collaboration between our global development teams to identify opportunities and ideas to drive team effectiveness and improve productivity.
- Driving Communications: Collaborate with leadership team to develop innovative solutions and develop plans to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Driving Insights and Analysis: Provide insight and Problem-Solving Business Analysis by analyzing data, identify trends, and provide actionable ideas and identify root causes. A strong systemic problem-solving mentality and tool set is highly desired.

Drive Change Mgt. Activities: Program Manage high impact tech strategy / transformation initiatives across the organization as identified by the leadership team. For example:
- Developing functional and technology plans with engineering leaders
- Leading virtual engineering and simulation initiatives
- Establishing a global lean enterprise initiative
- Coordinating engineering infrastructure planning and reporting
- etc.
- Experience: Prior experience in tech companies with a blend of engineering and business training. A technical degree is preferred, with exposure to tech-business fields (e.g., Engineering, Data Science, Economics, Business). Experience in tech strategy consulting is a plus.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to work strategically with VP and director-level leaders, translating strategic initiatives into operational plans and thinking independently. Ability to coordinate and prioritize competing initiatives based upon value to customer, value to business (ROI) and complexity.
- Leadership: Proven ability to facilitate workshops, lead improvement projects, and complete them successfully. Lean Practitioner background (Green Belt/Black Belt desired).
- Communication: Strong communication skills across global locations and with diverse technical and non-technical teams.
- Negotiation: Ability to negotiate trade-offs with technical and business teams, manage multiple projects, and prioritize effectively.
- Process Building: Proven track record of building robust business processes from ideation to implementation in a fast-paced, agile environment. Capability to work across functional silos for optimal business solutions.
