We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to support our experienced gynecologist, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in delivering top-notch healthcare services.
Responsibilities:
- Assist providers in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.
- Room patients and record and update patient medical history, vital signs, and other relevant information accurately.
- Educate patients about procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Administer injections, medications, and prescribed treatments under the supervision of healthcare providers.
- Calling patients with results and follow up recommendations.
- Provide clean and organized facilities including ensuring instruments are cleaned, rooms well stocked and organized, and linens laundered.
- Handle patient inquiries, scheduling appointments, and managing medical records.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with the medical team to ensure efficient workflow and patient satisfaction.
- Contribute to a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a certified Medical Assistant program.
- Current Medical Assistant certification.
- Previous experience in gynecology or women's health.
- Proficient in medical terminology, EMR systems, and basic computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professionalism, empathy, and a patient-centered approach.
- Bilingual (Spanish) language skills a plus.
