Position Summary:
As an Automotive Detailer & Lot Attendant, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are spotless and presented to the highest standards. Your keen attention to detail and prior experience will allow you to make each car shine inside and out. Additionally, you'll support our operations as a lot attendant, ensuring our lot is organized, vehicles are parked efficiently, and customers have a smooth experience when viewing vehicles. Responsibilities:
- Automotive Detailing:
- Perform comprehensive exterior cleaning, including washing, waxing, and buffing to achieve a polished finish.
- Conduct detailed interior cleaning such as vacuuming, shampooing carpets, and cleaning upholstery and surfaces.
- Apply window tinting as required, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
- Inspect vehicles for damages or issues and report findings to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including detailing equipment and supplies.
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction with detailing services.
- Safely drive various types of vehicles within the premises during the detailing process.
- Perform minor body repair tasks when needed.
- Lot Attendant Duties:
- Keep the lot organized and vehicles parked in an orderly fashion.
- Assist in preparing vehicles for display, ensuring they are clean and presentable.
- Move vehicles as needed for customer test drives or other operational needs.
- Ensure the lot is free of debris and safe for customers and staff.
- Help maintain accurate vehicle inventory records.
Additional Tasks:
- Support additional tasks such as running errands, fueling vehicles, and performing snow removal during winter months.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- Required: Previous experience in automotive detailing is required.
- Preferred: Knowledge of vehicle mechanics and technical abilities to assist with minor repairs or issues is preferred.
Skills:
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality results.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver different types of vehicles.
- A proactive and eager attitude toward learning and improving detailing techniques.
- Familiarity with workplace safety practices and willingness to use required PPE (e.g., steel-toe shoes, gloves).
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- This role operates in a workshop environment with exposure to weather extremes.
Travel:
- Local travel is expected for this position.
