Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport food orders to customers promptly.
- Load and unload food items from the restaurant to the delivery vehicle.
- Follow designated routes for efficient deliveries while adhering to traffic laws.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Communicate effectively with restaurant staff regarding order status and any customer requests.
- Assist in warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or similar role.
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and efficiently.
- Strong knowledge of Des Moines area streets and neighborhoods.
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely deliveries.
- Customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills.
- Experience with route planning is a plus.
- Familiarity with using GPS devices or mobile apps for navigation.
