Friendly family in Holliston is looking for a proactive and experienced special needs nanny/family assistant to support their three children, with a primary focus on the younger two: a 7.5-year-old son and a 6.5-year-old daughter. The eldest child, who is 15, may occasionally require transportation to and from activities. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, CPR/First Aid certified, and have a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. There is a live-in option as well for candidates. The family would love to find a nanny seeking a long-term role! The son is on the autism spectrum and has delayed speech but is high functioning. He does have a tendency towards elopement and will need a candidate that is attentive and able to keep up with him if he runs. General responsibilities will include getting the children on and off the bus, driving them to activities, planning outings, and assisting with daily tasks. While the children are at school, responsibilities will shift to household tasks such as meal preparation, tidying, laundry, organizing, etc. There is a friendly dog in the home, so candidates who are comfortable with animals are preferred. Candidates must be proactive, self-starters, energetic, punctual, engaging, knowledgeable about child development, active, and clear communicators. On-the-job driving is required; therefore, a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and a reliable vehicle are necessary. Tentative Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:45 AM – 5 PM. Rate: $33 - $36 per hour. Benefits: 2 weeks paid vacation, 1 week paid sick leave, paid holidays & negotiable health care stipend. Start Date: Mid-January.
