Friendly family in South Norwalk, CT, is looking for a loving and collaborative nanny for their newborn daughter and three-year-old son. The older child is in school full-time, so care will primarily be for the baby. Applicants must be at least 21 years old, CPR/First Aid certified, current on COVID, flu, and TDAP vaccines, and have a minimum of three years of relevant professional experience. Newborn / Infant experience required. Responsibilities will be child-related and may include meal prep, bottle washing, children’s laundry, sanitizing toys, planning developmentally appropriate activities, among other light housekeeping tasks. There is a friendly dog in the home, so candidates who are comfortable with animals are preferred. Mom works from home in a separate office, and the nanny will have autonomy during the day. Candidates should be familiar with the area and enthusiastic about walking with children to local activities and outings. They should also be proactive, energetic, punctual, engaging, knowledgeable in child development, active, and effective communicators. Driving is not anticipated initially but a valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required Schedule: Mon-Fri approximately 8 AM to 5 PM (exact hours tbd) - candidates open to starting part time (5 days, but mostly mornings) and moving to ft as of March are ideal, however the family can offer full time hours up front for the right fit. Rate: $30 - $32 per hour, based on experience. Benefits: Two weeks of paid vacation, one week of paid sick leave, and paid holidays. Start Date: February 3
