The Customer Operations Specialist (COS) will be responsible for ensuring seamless operations and providing excellent customer support. This role will focus on handling customer inquiries, processing orders, resolving issues, and working closely with various departments to ensure efficient delivery of service. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong problem-solving mindset, and a passion for customer satisfaction.
This is a 100% on-site position working in our Milford, MA office.
Responsibilities
- Customer Support: Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner. Provide clear, accurate, and helpful information regarding products, services, orders, and policies
- Order Processing: Accurately enter and process customer orders into the system, ensuring all information is complete and correct. Ensure timely and accurate processing to meet customer expectations.
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any customer issues, such as billing discrepancies, order delays, or product concerns, working to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, logistics, and other teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment and resolve any operational challenges.
- Data Management: Update and maintain accurate customer and order data in the system, ensuring that information is up-to-date and complete.
Education
Associate’s degree in a business-related related discipline or equivalent
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer service and/or order processing role
- Experience with order processing, preferably in a fast-moving goods business
- Worked in in BioTech, Life Science, manufacturing industry is preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Familiarity with customer service software and databases; NetSuite is a plus.
- Understanding of internal workflows (order processing, logistics)
- High level of accuracy in processing orders and handling customer inquiries
