We are seeking a highly motivated Process Development Associate to work in our Process Development (PD) Team. In this role, you will play a key part ensuring that new products are feasible, consistent and meet all quality requirements specified by customer requests. You will also contribute to product and process improvement initiatives by supporting validations and customer projects.
Responsibilities
- Manufactures products following Quality and GLP Guidelines (Formulation and Filtration)
- Creates feasibility batches to confirm customer requested specifications
- Create pilot, verification, and investigational batches, documenting data following BBP Procedures
- Calibrate, qualify, validate, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
- Generate and maintain Safety Data Sheets
- Review previous processes, SOPs, and procedures for potential improvement
- Training staff in new procedures, equipment usage or manufacturing practices
- Assists Quality and Process Development in performing investigations
- Review, monitor and adjust inventory within BBP’s ERP system
- Track project action items, coordinate internally to ensure actions are completed and help facilitate customer communication
- Organize process validation, pilot batch and investigational data
- Training staff in lab practices and chemical safety
- Ensuring that all products are properly discarded in accordance with the Safety Data Sheet
- Work on new projects assigned by Process Development Manager as they arise
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related technical field
Experience & Skillset
- 1–3 years of experience in a process development, manufacturing, or quality/ laboratory environment (or internship/co-op equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with buffer preparation, adjustment, and formulation
- Familiarity with SOPs, and WI’s documentation
- Experience with formulation and filtration of products in a laboratory environment
- Experience with calibration and verification of lab equipment
- Ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and change priorities while maintaining productivity
- Ability to work well independently and within a team
Salary : $24
