Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Inventory Specialist to join our team at Boston Cannabis Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and coordinating the transportation and delivery of products. Proficiency in Metrc and Dutchie is required to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of inventory data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate inventory records through Metrc and Dutchie systems.
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Track product movement from cultivation to processing, packaging, and distribution.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all inventory procedures adhere to state and local cannabis regulations.
- Monitor and document all cannabis product movements to maintain compliance.
- Generate and submit required compliance reports through Metrc.
- Product Transportation & Delivery Coordination:
- Schedule and coordinate deliveries to dispensaries and retail partners.
- Prepare and verify manifests for all outgoing shipments.
- Communicate with drivers and vendors to ensure smooth transportation processes.
- Track and document delivery statuses and reconcile any discrepancies.
- Systems & Technology:
- Utilize Metrc to accurately track plant and product inventory.
- Manage transportation and sales data using Dutchie and Metrc.
- Maintain detailed logs of inventory adjustments, waste disposal, and product transfers.
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Work closely with cultivation, processing, and sales teams to ensure smooth product flow.
- Communicate any inventory-related issues to management promptly.
- Coordinating with multiple departments to submit products for testing and maintaining testing records.
- Purchasing and tracking general purpose inventory items such as PPE, office supplies, and uniform supplies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in inventory management, preferably in a regulated industry.
- Proficiency in Metrc and Dutchie is required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Google and Microsoft suite of services.
- Experience with cannabis inventory processes is preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
