Responsible for planning and implementing a multi-dimensional activity program that includes social, spiritual, physical, cultural and therapeutic activities for residents of a long-term retirement home. These programs will be appropriate and enhance the quality of life of varying resident populations, including those with dementia / Alzheimer’s.
Qualifications :
A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role. NCCAP Activity Director Certification or certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist preferred. Must genuinely care for and understand the elderly. We are looking for a candidate with energy, creativity, excellent motivational and communication skills, and an affinity for working with the elderly. Our residents are senior priests from the Archdiocese of Boston and our facility consists of both a clinical care unit, assisted-living units, and independent units.
