What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthcare Data Analyst II position at Boston Children's Hospital?
The Healthcare Data Analyst II will be responsible for :
- Researching, designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining reporting and analytical facilities in the context of the hospital's clinical and / or financial systems.
- Collaborating with clinical and administrative staff to ensure that reports are timely, accurate, meaningful, and interpretable.
- Ensuring that analyses and reports provide detailed, specific data regarding performance of individuals, teams, programs, divisions, and the department as a whole.
- Generating reports from a variety of internal and external sources, including benchmarking databases e.g. PHIS, PACT, and specialty-specific registries.
- Performing standardized data validation activities to ensure the highest quality information for decision-making.
- Using visualization tools and techniques creating dashboards and reports for decision-making.
- Building new databases as needed, and maintaining a valid and accurate data repository to ensure availability of required information.
- Advising on the development of data collection and management systems. Defining specifications for key data elements, data collection procedures, and integrity of databases.
- Improving and maintaining the production environment for tasks and applications.
- Providing analyses and reports of performance indicators, providing trended data using statistical process control or other appropriate epidemiological techniques.
- Interpreting data and providing the team with data-driven recommendations.
