What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interactive Designer position at Boston Children's Hospital?
Under direct supervision, designs digital learning solutions for web sites, and interactive media including digital media such as video, audio, graphics, and animations. Consults with management and subject matter experts to manage the digital user experience and interfaces that support project needs.
The Interactive Designer will be responsible for :
- Designing digital user interfaces and interactive applications, ensuring seamless user experiences across various platforms. Providing expertise in design, content organization, and layout.
- Assisting in planning, reviewing, and evaluating project needs, offering design recommendations, time estimates, and project requirements.
- Working closely with subject matter experts to understand learning objectives and developing effective instructional strategies. Gathering project requirements, making design recommendations, and delivering design presentations.
- Translating complex data into compelling, easy-to-understand visual designs for multimedia applications.
- Evaluating content requirements and creating wireframes, storyboards, and interactive modules using tools like Articulate 360. Ensuring consistency in user experience across digital projects.
- Developing design solutions that align with technical capabilities and limitations. Collaborating with technical teams to implement and refine design solutions.
- Creating & Managing Digital Assets : Producing digital assets, including graphics, audio, video, and animations. Editing content while ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and communicating design needs to the creative team. Maintaining digital content across online platforms.
- Building courses in one or more Learning Management Systems (LMS). Exporting interactive modules in multiple formats for course implementation while ensuring analytics tracking is properly set up.
