- Covering the 24/7 NP covered general surgery service including: transplant, general surgery, CAIR, colorectal, EAT, bariatric and trauma as well as ICU consults
- Clinical leadership, assessment and collaborative management of inpatient surgical patients aged newborn to young adult. Includes: interpretation of diagnostic tests, performance of therapeutic procedures, quality improvement initiatives and clinical research activities.
- Coordinating direct admission, timely discharge planning, and consultations and participating in patient/family education in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Working up to 36 hours per week, 12 hour shifts, including permanent weekends required
To qualify, you must have:
- A Master of Science in Nursing and certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
- MA licensure as an Advanced Practice Nurse.
- Will give preference to those with at least 1 year of current Pediatric Nurse Practitioner experience, will consider new-grad and newer NPs with pediatric RN experience, BCH experience strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational, communication skills and computer skills required.
**Sign-on bonus of $4,500.00 for part-time (36 hours) NP hires (who have not worked at BCH in the past 2 years.)
