Position Description
Schedule: Open 7 days per week (Sunday through Saturday) including weekends & holidays.
Shifts include: 7:00am - 3:30pm, 9:30am - 6:00pm, 11:30am- 8:00pm, 1:30pm - 10:00pm
This position is 20 hours, and eligible for part-time benefits $1,000 Sign-On Bonus!
This Nutrition Technician will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Clinical Dietitian in providing the optimal nutritional care to patients, which can include formula preparation and food related tasks.
- Preparing specialized breastmilk nutrition by preparing diets of donor human milk; skim human milk, or high calorie hind milk.
- Assisting in inventory of breastmilk, formulas, supplements and supplies.
- Utilizes appropriate equipment such as Creamatocrit and Centrifuge for specialized preparation.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, Associates degree from an ACEND accredited program or currently enrolled in Didactic Program in Dietetics from an ACEND accredited program preferred.
- Certification in ServSafe is preferred.
- Analytical skills to resolve problems that require the use of basic scientific, mathematical, computer or technical principles.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
- Proficiency in a nutrient analysis programs.
