This Care Companion will be responsible for:
- Providing constant safety observation and care for a patient identified to be at risk to themselves, others and/or are in need of protective services, following established procedures and instructions under the direct supervision of a registered nurse in accordance with the individualized needs of the patient.
- Observing patients for changes in behavior and/or condition, and reports pertinent information to RN.
- Maintaining a safe environment, accompanies patients to other departments throughout the hospital and maintains confidentiality of patient information.
- Performing vital signs and assisting with Activities of Daily Living as directed by the RN.
- Completing patient care documentation and administrative duties.
- Working nights and every third weekend. 20, 24 or 32 hours/week available.
- A High School level of education or equivalent.
- Minimum of 1 year experience of Pediatric Care Companion/Sitter/Patient Observer or Clinical Assistant experience and vitals signs experience.
