The Safety & Quality Consultant will be responsible to:
- Under weekly guidance by supervisor, manages multiple Enterprise quality and safety projects/initiatives and completes assigned project activities.
- Defines, plans, and manages all phases of projects, including:
- Coordinates the day-to-day activities of the project, including the recruitment of project staff, setting up records systems, and organizing meetings
- Gathers all project information: schedules, data requests, issue logs, project plans, communications, assignment tasks, and project meetings.
- Works with the project team to understand and assist with tracking all work, tasks, and project assignments.
- Monitors and modifies project schedule and key deliverables.
- Maintains document control, database management, project tracking, and team communications.
- Develops project-related deliverables with limited supervision, including process workflow diagrams, PowerPoint presentations, status reports, communication plans, meeting minutes, and project plans/timelines.
- With some direction with an analyst in Quality and Safety, develops and executes quality and safety measurement plans.
- Tracks details for producing accurate run-charts and other data visuals for monitoring progress to measurement goals
- Confers with analysts for interpreting outcomes; can visualize and present data/results in a variety of formats
- Composes, edits, and delivers written and verbal communications to key stakeholders (internal and external), senior Leadership, and associates at all levels of the organization as needed
- Provides data coordination and data entry services for quality improvement projects supported by the department.
- Performs data management and serves as an internal resource on data coordination procedures
- Collaborates with senior staff, assists in developing a comprehensive workflow process for projects
- Educates and teaches junior staff
- Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of Quality & Safety Experience in lieu of degree is required
- 2 years experience in Quality & Safety Project Management is required
- Solid technical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio; and ability to effectively create data capture tools, such as REDCap.
- Knowledge of healthcare quality monitoring, measurement, process improvement concepts, and fundamental tools.
- This role is a Hybrid schedule with 2-3 days a week onsite
