BUSINESS PLANNING ANALYST II

Job Posting Description

The Business Planning Analyst II will :

• Prepare and present various reports and analyses to support strategic program and capital planning efforts. Independently determine methodology for collecting and analyzing data. Prepare analyses in a client-ready, polished format for internal, department review
• Provide financial and utilization analyses to hospital leadership as well as assistance in interpreting those analytics. Under guidance of lead or manager, works closely with numerous departments throughout the hospital to develop long term financial projections.
• Support ad-hoc special projects aimed at improving hospital operations and financial performance.
• Design, produce, and present executive level analyses / reports related to hospital activities including department / program profit and loss information.
• Understand and utilize various systems to respond to internal and external ad-hoc requests. In response to ad-hoc requests, works independently to determine appropriate methodology and prepares polished reports that include a detailed summary as well as graphs and charts when appropriate.
• Assist team members in responding to ad-hoc requests.
• Prepare periodic reports and documents for regulatory agencies and other external organizations as required.
• Based on recommendations and supporting information, work with department managers in formulating action plans including development of timelines and data needs for monitoring progress.
• Participate in identifying opportunities within the department for process improvements and application of best practices. May lead the implementation of supporting initiatives.
• Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to effectively contribute to the working group's achievement of goals, and to help foster a positive work environment.
• Complete other projects as assigned by manager.
