This Teacher Assistant will be responsible for:
- Assisting classroom teachers in the care, health, welfare and safety of children aged 12 weeks to 5 years in a group setting.
- Working with a team of teachers to provide a caring environment where children feel safe and secure.
- Cleaning and disinfecting toys in accordance with DEEC regulations.
- Setting up afternoon activities and learning centers and engaging in play.
- Preparing and serving snack.
- Restocking classroom areas as requested.
- Participating in group, story, and circle time.
- Assisting the classroom teacher with closing the classroom each day.
To qualify, you must have:
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be able to exchange information on factual matters, greet visitors, explain policies, and relay messages to appropriate personnel.
- You must demonstrate courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors, and hospital employees.
Shift and Hours:
- This is a part-time position with 15 hours per week.
- The shift is from 2:30pm to 6:00pm.
Important Details:
- This position requires transportation to the Newton location.
