What You'll Do

As a Manager – BCG Vantage in a Client Focus role within BCG's Industrial Goods Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized BCG Vantage assets such as products, tools, domain-specific data, workshops, frameworks. You will contribute to proposals and cases through thought partnership in your area of expertise, deliver original analyses and insights helping drive strong impact with clients. Occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements, and design / develop solutions.

You will support commercialization efforts for the sector, working with business leaders to provide insights and advice for proposals and client workshops. Additionally, as a Manager – BCG Vantage, you will lead the development of intellectual property and assets for the business and mentor and guide junior colleagues.

As a heavy emitter of CO2, the metals sector is under significant pressure to decarbonize. Many metal- producing industries, especially steel, need to fundamental change how and where they produce. The availability of raw materials and the recovery of metals through recycling are becoming increasingly important. Far-reaching decisions must be made now, taking into account technology maturity and investment needs, access to renewable energy and green hydrogen, geopolitical turbulence, the ability to capture green metal demand, and price premiums. BCG helps global clients in the metals ecosystem address these challenges and navigate toward a greener future.

What You'll Bring

• 3 years consulting experience in the metals sector required, candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred
• In lieu of consulting experience, 4 years minimum industry experience required; 6-10 years of industry experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Deep understanding and expertise in the steel sector, preferably in the EAF/minimill sector
• Fluency in English; other languages requested in certain locations
• US Citizen or Green Card holder

As a Manager – BCG Vantage, you will work face to face with clients and with BCG Project Leaders, Associates and Consultants. In the period between cases, you will collaborate with global topic leads and colleagues across BCG to bring expertise and capabilities to the service of our internal and external clients.
