Data Scientist (Local candidates only)

Looking for Data Scientist - Machine Learning for New York City.

Local candidates only.

2-3 days onsite in NYC.

Priority - Must have strong OOP python software development skills having put development into production

Intermediate ML skills (must know basic, fundamental ML concepts and models)

Must have some financial services experience

Job Description

Work closely with product development and technology project team members to help propel data financial services data products.

Responsibilities:

Improve and innovate models including statistical and machine learning techniques across various asset-classes e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, Derivatives, FX etc

· Develop predictive analytics models using Machine Learning

· Develop POC

· Visualize and explore data sets to enable the idea generation of new, predictive features

· Perform back testing

· Work with IT for implementation including spec design and testing

· Ensure daily data quality checks in production and more

Competencies/Experiences

Critical

· Strong software development skills using Python – putting code into production/ deployment

Advanced degree in Computer Science, Financial Engineering or similar with concentration on Data Science

· 5 years of experience in ML, data engineering or data science focused role

· Experience in applying machine learning methods (distribution analysis, regression, classification, clustering, etc.)

· Sql Server, Relational Database experience

· Capital Markets knowledge

Desirable

Experience in Prime Brokerage, Securities Lending, Counterparty Risk
