Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. Duties
- Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate information is collected and maintained.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate care plans using eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft software.
- Process patient records and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize 10 key typing skills to enter data accurately into electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with insurance verification and coding using ICD-10 standards.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing inquiries or directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to promote a professional environment.
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure seamless patient service and support.
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical administrative support or a dental office is preferred.
- Proficiency in medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as eClinicalWorks or Eaglesoft is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
