What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Intern position at Boston Globe Media?
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the FP&A and Accounting teams on ad-hoc assignments and report generation.
- Collaborate with all finance teams to assist in the creation of new reports, driving efficiency and automation.
- Work with business, finance, and IT partners to help streamline data preparation and reporting.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of reporting systems and processes.
Qualifications:
- Has taken an advanced financial accounting course
- Is undertaking the graduate level study of finance or is majoring in finance, business, data analytics, economics, or related undergraduate fields.
- Computer Science/Data Analytics experience is a plus.
- A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment

The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.
