Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Senior Account Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key client accounts, fostering strong relationships, and driving client success. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of client needs and the ability to develop tailored solutions that align with their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison to clients, growing and maintaining strong/effective relationships and ensuring exceptional service and support
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the BGMP organization
- Collaborate with our sales representatives to efficiently/effectively complete pre- and post-sales activity
- Project manage internal teams’ client deliverables, making sure due dates are met and output is above and beyond client expectations, this includes:
- Working with Boston Globe Media’s content studio, Studio/B
- Working with Campaign Management team to execute campaigns in a timely manner, manage delivery, and review reporting
- Follow a defined sales process and use appropriate interpersonal communication methods to advocate for clients/customers internally and externally
- Identify and pursue opportunities for upselling and expanding service offerings within existing accounts
- Support seller in conducting regular client meetings and presentations to discuss project updates, performance metrics, and future initiatives
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and best practices to provide strategic insights to clients
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience
- Prior media agency experience is preferred
- Experience with working with advertising operations teams
- Experience working on or with media planning/buying teams
- Experience working in a sales-oriented environment
- Critical thinking and analytical skills, experience with reviewing media reporting preferred
- Prior media agency experience is preferred
- Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, organize, and handle multiple accounts/projects at once
- Excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Ability to handle stress in a deadline-driven environment
- Proficiency with GoogleSuite and Microsoft Office, specifically Excel (Sheets), PowerPoint (Slides)
- Ability to balance a client-centric mindset with needs of internal teams
- Positive energy and pleasant (genuine!) demeanor
- A willingness to adapt and be audience focused, with a curious mindset and a commitment to creating an inclusive work environment
The BGMP office is located in downtown Boston, near Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, and is easily accessible by MBTA and commuter rail lines. This position is based in Boston, and candidates should be based in the area or willing to move.
