Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Warehouse Manager to support our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing daily activities, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.

Work Hours:  Standard hours 8 AM to 5 PM, occasional early shifts starting as early as 5 AM, based on seasonal demand, occasional Saturday shifts may be required during peak seasons

Compensation: Salaried position, starting base $50k-$60k depending on experience, annual bonus worth up to 15% of salary based on performance goals

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Warehouse Manager in daily operations, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving.
• Supervise warehouse staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, promoting a culture of safety among all employees.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with regular stock audits to maintain accuracy.
• Coordinate the flow of materials and products, optimizing storage space and minimizing delays.
• Help implement and maintain efficient processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Address and resolve any operational issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Assist in preparing reports related to warehouse activities, including productivity, inventory levels, and staff performance.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
• Participate in the hiring and onboarding process for new warehouse staff.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Knowledge of inventory management software and warehouse management systems.
• Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in warehouse settings.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, non-CDL trucks) as needed.
