Location Description :
The Boston Harbor Hotel is Bostons premier waterfront hotel, where luxury service is personal. Overview : JOB SUMMARY
This positions is responsible for providing preventative maintenance for all areas of the hotel, and maintaining the physical appearance of the property.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
EXPERIENCE :
Must have at least five (5) or more years of Engineering experience, with previous experience in a Hospitality environment preferred, or other related / equivalent field may be considered.
KEY RESPONSIBILTIES
The primary responsibilities for the Engineer will include but are not limited to :
- Provide preventive maintenance for all areas of the hotel.
- Maintain physical appearance of the property, up to Five Star standards to complete the guest experience.
- Assure open communication and cooperation with the engineering and operations staff of Rowes Wharf.
- Ensure the overall facility and all operating departments are maintained in proper condition including but not limited to, guest rooms, public space, service areas, equipment and furnishings.
- Maintain communication with Front Office, Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Sales, and Health Club and Spa to ensure all maintenance deficiencies are identified and repaired in a timely manner.
- Complete special projects as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned by the Chief Engineer
- Retain and motivate the staff; hire, train, develop, empower, coach and counsel, conduct performance and salary reviews, resolve problems, provide open communication vehicles, document and discipline, as appropriate
- Assign duties and work responsibilities to staff members
- Coordinate renovation bidding, define the cost and scope of the project and oversee the general contractors and subcontractors to ensure quality work is performed for a minimal cost.
