JOB SUMMARY
The Cafeteria Cook will oversee daily food preparation and service, ensuring that meals are nutritious, well-balanced, and align with dietary needs and preferences. You will work in a fast-paced environment, managing various kitchen stations, preparing food in large quantities, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a similar role, ideally in high-volume food service, and must be comfortable working independently and in a team setting.

- Meal PreparationPrepare and cook large quantities of food following established recipes, ensuring meals are ready for scheduled serving times.
- Station SetupComplete daily prep responsibilities, ensuring all food stations are properly set up and stocked for service.
- Food QualityMonitor food quality and presentation, ensuring all meals meet the required standards. Make adjustments as necessary based on feedback or specific dietary requirements.
- Inventory ManagementCollaborate with the kitchen supervisor to order ingredients, monitor inventory levels, and ensure proper food storage practices.
- SanitationMaintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work environment, following all health and safety guidelines. Clean kitchen equipment and workstations at the end of each shift.
- Multi-TaskingEfficiently manage multiple tasks during peak service times, ensuring smooth and timely meal delivery to employees.
- Temperature ControlFollow established procedures for cooking, cooling, and storing food, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Team CollaborationWork closely with cafeteria staff and supervisors to ensure efficient service and address any employee requests or concerns regarding meals.
- Other DutiesPerform any other tasks as assigned by the Cafeteria Supervisor or Manager.
