About The Job
Under the direction of the Chief of Programs and Compliance, the Director of Resident Programs & Services, is a seasoned social worker with an MSW, who will direct and manage the Resident Services Programs for BHA’s housing communities, including program and resource development activities. The role will work with outside social, medical and other service providers to help identify and bring a catalog of services to residents. The Director of Resident Programs & Services will also direct all Resident Service Coordinators and MSW graduate students under contract.

About The Job

The role will work with outside social, medical and other service providers to help identify and bring a catalog of services to residents. The Director of Resident Programs & Services will also direct all Resident Service Coordinators and MSW graduate students under contract.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop vision and priorities for resident programming and service at BHA housing communities.
- Develop key metrics and performance tracking for resident service provision.
- Support the development of targeted programming for youth and older adults at BHA housing communities.
- Works with non-profit social services, medical and other service providers to bring services to developments.
- Develops, maintains, and updates directories and listings of community resources for use by both staff and residents.
- Seeks funding opportunities and collaborate with other departments to write grants for resident services and programs.
- Ensure all at-risk tenants' issues are identified, addressed, monitored and reported to the outside agencies as required.
- Host MSW graduate student interns to build up their clinical skills and help expand services to residents.
- On-the-ground engagement component – seeing what services are being provided to be able to assess effectiveness
- Manages and supervises contracts with outside service providers.
- Develops and maintains meetings with service providers, staff and residents.
- Works with other agencies, including City, State and Federal departments to maximize appropriate service to residents.
- Capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders, including but not limited to, residents, senior staff, volunteers, interns, and community partners.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with local government officials, community groups, funding sources, and community leaders, including participating and representing at forums, public meetings, and community coalitions.
- Assesses staff development and training requirements making recommendations to.
- Take the lead in making recommendations to the for ways to improve coordination and integration of programming, including community outreach and partnerships.
- Directs and supervises the work of the resident service coordinator contracts and in-house Service Coordinators.
- Works with Resident Service Coordinators to establish new relationships with community-based and other organizations in the interest of further developing services provided.
- Act as a resource and provide support to the Resident Service Coordinators including holding, at minimum, four (4) meetings annually with all Resident Service Coordinators and resident service contractors to discuss relevant issues and service delivery.
