Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive and provide them with a friendly welcome.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests while minimizing wait times.
- Handle reservations and maintain an organized waiting list during busy periods.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting guests with inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth operations and effective communication regarding guest flow.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area, ensuring it is presentable at all times.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed, contributing to a positive team environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or food service setting.
- Strong guest relations skills with a focus on providing outstanding service.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to interact effectively with guests and team members.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by the restaurant's schedule.
