About the Role :

The Market Development Team is a U.S. field-based marketing organization committed to developing and / or executing the strategic initiatives of the Endoscopy Division through focused engagement of the top key opinion leaders within Tertiary Referral Centers. The position serves as a field-based Marketing representative responsible for market development objectives in this customer segment. Market Development Managers (MDM’s) and Area Marketing Managers (AMM’s) collaborate with cross-functional teams on upstream and downstream marketing objectives. A field-based MDM and / or AMM is responsible for focused KOL engagement with the Key Opinion Leaders in his / her area, strategic technology commercialization, market expansion efforts, upstream product development support, and the creation and / or execution of key projects. This allows Endoscopy to have consistent access to these luminaries for product development, research, education / training programs, and market intelligence.

This role is covering key centers in the greater Boston, Massachusetts / New England area.

Your Responsibilities Will Include :

  • Field-based Marketing representative in strategic markets primarily responsible for Tertiary Referral Centers.
  • Develop strategic relationships with Key Opinion Leaders.
  • New technology commercialization (Upstream and Downstream Marketing Activities).
  • Develop and execute customer Market Development programs.
  • Develop and manage education, training, and research projects with key opinion leaders.
  • Explore and validate potential new call-points.
  • Actively participate on the Core team’s during product development process for key technologies.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years’ experience in medical device industry with a GI, Pulmonary or minimally invasive surgery company
  • Extensive Customer Facing Experience
  • Tertiary Referral Center and Key Opinion Leader management experience
  • Documented KOL Development
  • Documented experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of the numerous functions and stakeholders that are required to run the business
  • Evidence of a high level of business and clinical acumen
  • Demonstrable ability to deliver presentations to both internal and external stakeholders
  • 70% domestic travel commitment
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Fellowship Program experience (Fellow training and education) desired
  • Experience coordinating educational and R&D engagement initiatives
  • New technology commercialization experience
  • Marketing experience

    The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full-time position will be $146,000 plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan (which includes certain annual non-discretionary incentives based on predetermined objectives) as well as the value of core and optional benefits offered at BSC, which can be reviewed at www.bscbenefitsconnect.com. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, and other relevant business or organizational needs.
