Travel Rate: $100Local Rate: $92Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Days, 36 hours, 7:00a-7:30p, no call, rotating holidays. Must be NRP certified upon submission- Must have current licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Respiratory Therapist.- RRT or CRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required.- BLS healthcare provider required.- NRP certification required Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Cardio/Pulmonary/Neurology/Sleep Disorders, provides a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care services, for in patient and out patients of all ages.Job Functions
- Performs respiratory care procedures in accordance with established departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
- Evaluates, treats, and re-assesses patients of all ages, following physician s order.
- Functions independently and also assists Physicians and Nursing in the determination and application of therapeutic modalities.
- Assists in the orientation and training of respiratory and nursing personnel.
- Participates in Code Team and Rapid Response Team.
- Provides patient and family education.
- Participates in CQI initiatives.
- Participates in departmental education activities.
- Transports patients.
- Assists the Director with special projects, equipment and stock inventory control.
- Maintains and supports patient s rights to care, privacy and respect.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time.Minimum Qualifications: Education - High school graduate or equivalent required.- Graduate of a Respiratory Therapy (RT) program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. Experience- Previous RT experience strongly preferred.- Previous patient care experience preferred.- Appropriate clinical rotations during the RT program are considered as satisfactory experience.
