Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse for our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. This role involves working closely with patients experiencing a variety of medical conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety while promoting optimal health outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including venipuncture and other procedures.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, including discharge planning.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management.
• Assist in emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine and trauma medicine as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records, including Cerner.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control protocols.

Experience

• Previous experience in acute care settings is preferred, with a focus on medical/surgical nursing.
• Familiarity with home care practices and ambulatory surgery centers is a plus.
• Experience working with children is beneficial for those involved in pediatric care.
• Knowledge of infectious disease care protocols is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential.

Pay: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
