Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech

Weekly Gross: $1188.00 - $1368.00 for 36 hours.
OT Rate: 1.5 times the taxable amount.
On-Call Rate: $3/hr.
Job Details:
- Certified Sterile Processing Distribution
- Perform duties of decontamination, assembly, high-level disinfection, and/or sterilization of surgical instruments for the OR and other hospital departments and clinics. In accordance with established policies and standard work. Prioritize tasks as directed by the supervisor or as needed to support patient care for the OR and customer departments. Document, monitor, and maintain accurate records demonstrating high-level disinfection and sterilization in accordance with current professional and regulatory agencies. *Performs other functions as required. When submitting candidates, include at least two references (one must be from a current manager), a resume, and a completed skills checklist/competency assessment.
- 13 weeks' assignment, 2 years’ experience currently required in a large OR. Orto, ENT, and/or vascular experience is a plus. Must be a team player, flexible, and accustomed to a fast-paced environment. Must have successfully completed at least one 13-week travel assignment.
Certs: BLS certification required. BLS must be completed through the American Heart Association, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross.
Shifts: Days - start time 0600, Shift length 8-10 hours (varied). Shifts may fluctuate to fulfill department staffing needs.
Call: currently is weekend coverage only
Weekends: currently, we have 2 SPD techs sharing call responsibility
Holidays: required. Travelers are first to float within the facility and to alternate locations within 20 miles of their permanent assigned location.
Traveling pairs are not guaranteed the same schedules or the same shifts.
Orientation: 1st week of the contract, not to exceed 40 total hours, and includes EPIC training. Scrubs required.
