The Softline’s Manager is responsible for overseeing the sales floor and merchandising standards for Boston Ski and Tennis. Primarily, your goal will be to construct your team and lead them with a positive outcome. The ideal candidate for the role is a purpose driven business leader, one who creates results by staying true to our goal at hand. Driving the experience, to training and developing the best teammates to executing our standards. Develop talent and drive teammate engagement as we build a high performing team. Recognizing and rewarding great performance and address poor performance as well. Creating a store environment where all teammates and customer feel welcome, included, and respected. Uphold standards for merchandise presentation and stockroom organization. Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures.
Qualifications, Skills:
· Exceptional supervisory and management skills
· Ability to effectively coach on store policies, protocols, and expectations
· Leads by example and effectively drives the performance of team members
· Strong visual merchandising background
· Excellent customer service orientation.
· Effective problem solving and communication with customers and team members.
· Strong business acumen with an understanding of business implications of decisions
· Knowledge of market and competition and an orientation to profitability and established targets.
· Reads, analyzes the general day to day business
· Speaks clearly, positively, and persuasively
· Demonstrates active listening in a variety of situations with team members & customers
· Strong multitasker capable of working in a high energy, fast paced retail setting
· Minimum 3-year retail/ supervisor experience
· Able to stand 8 hours
· Regularly lift 50 pounds
Key Responsibilities:
· Full-time position averaging 40-50 hours/week.
· Teaching and training of store merchandising standards
· Utilizing and implementing new merchanting standards
· Managing new product displays
· Execution of customer engagement
· Maintaining the store visual and overall cleanliness standard
· Provides departmental direction to complete soft lines goals daily
· Develops and implements strategy for achieving weekly and monthly goals while completing tasks assigned to the store
· Holding team members accountable for compliance with established task, safety and security practices and
· Required to learn, understand, and enforce company policies and procedures
