About the Exercise Specialist Position
We are looking for a qualified Exercise Specialist to provide assistance to physical therapists with their patients. You will collaborate with medical professionals to achieve excellent patient care.
An Exercise Specialist is a committed and compassionate professional. They have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to create a supportive environment. We expect you to be knowledgeable in patient care as well as various clinical tasks.
The goal is to facilitate the recovery from injury and surgery by providing therapeutic exercises and activities.
Responsibilities

Keep patient rooms tidy and sanitized

Assist patient with exercise programs

Monitor vital signs (temperature, pulse, etc.) and patient condition

Assist physical therapy staff in administering treatments

Ensure rooms have adequate patient care supplies

Assist patients with particular issues or needs

Provide appropriate emotional support
Requirements

Proven experience as a physical therapy aide, athletic trainer, or exercise specialist

Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures

Working knowledge of relevant equipment

Committed to health and safety standards

Empathetic and approachable
Exercise Science, Exercise Physiology, Health Sciences, Kinesiology, or Athletic Trainer bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
One or more years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or sports medicine is desired.
Personal Training, CSCS, or similar certification is desired
Dance experience is desired
