The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology at Boston University Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine seeks applicants for Assistant to Associate Professor faculty educator positions to begin in the Summer of 2025.

The Department of Anatomy and Neurobiology is a dynamic group of researchers and educators focused on neuroscience and the anatomical sciences. The department hosts the Vesalius master’s program in the anatomical sciences, three professional master’s programs, and a PhD program. Faculty direct several major courses in the medical, dental, and graduate schools, and have a longstanding record of excellence in pedagogy and cutting-edge research. We specifically seek colleagues with expertise in neuroanatomy, gross anatomy, and histology instruction to join us in 2025. The department has a strong preference for candidates who have had experience with course / module directorship in major courses and curriculum design in the medical, dental, and / or graduate schools. The candidate should have strong leadership skills as demonstrated in the ability, as a basic science facility member, to collaborate and communicate with clinical faculty educators in an integrated medical school curriculum.

The successful candidate(s) will have :

  • Experience teaching neuroanatomy and histology, and / or gross anatomy and embryology.
  • Evidence of and commitment to scholarly activity in basic science, clinical science, and / or medical sciences education.

Expertise in the fields of aging, neurodegeneration, neurodevelopment, brain circuitry, and the anatomical sciences are of particular interest to our department.
