The Assistant Director provides career coaching services to BU Questrom School of Business full-time MBA students through individual career coaching sessions, workshops, website and social media content and other innovative programming, both on campus and virtually. The Assistant Director collaborates in the planning, development, and implementation of strategies to promote career development services and activities, coordinating with the schools other career-related programming and initiatives (i.e. Industry Relations Management team, MBA programs including the Health Sector Management, Social Impact ,etc.)
The Assistant Director will optimize seamless student support by tracking and communicating information through written notes and verbal conversations, documenting the details of student interactions/appointments and full-time MBA employment and internship outcomes. The Assistant Director will engage in professional development to stay abreast of best practices and developments in career education and share relevant information with colleagues and students.
This position must be available for occasional flexible hours: early mornings, late afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

- Master's degree in higher education or career counseling and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
- Experience providing career coaching or counseling to graduate students or early professionals strongly preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse and international group of students or advisees preferred.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to speak and present in a classroom or similar environment.
- Fluent with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Google Documents.
- High degree of proactiveness and self-awareness.
- Experience in health sector industry preferred.
