Job Summary :
A Job Cost Accountant plays a crucial role in managing job file and office finances and budgets. Their primary responsibilities are to record and analyze job file finances, maintain financial records, and provide ownership with accurate financial snapshots of the business. A Job Cost Accountant works closely with the General Manager and the Chief Financial Officer. This position is fully remote.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Job File Management
- Enter all job cost expenses into accounting software and ensure sync to management system
- Monitor all job cost ratios and gross margin progress
- Coordinate and lead weekly production meetings with divisional managers / Project Managers to review job and payment status
- Ensure daily sync between accounting software and job management system
- Manage timely accounting-related job dates in management system
- Reconcile job costs with accounting software and close job files weekly, when ready
