Qualifications :
- At least 2 years of insurance coverage litigation experience.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent research and writing skills.
- Experience with case management, drafting pleadings, and handling motions and depositions.
- Admitted and in good standing in California (additional admissions in other states a plus).
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage complex insurance coverage litigation and bad faith claims from inception to resolution, ensuring thorough and strategic case management at every stage.Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, with a focus on persuasive and comprehensive legal writing.Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses, parties, and other key stakeholders, and represent clients in court hearings and motion practice across both state and federal jurisdictions.Provide trial support and actively participate in trial preparation, including developing trial strategies, preparing witnesses, and assisting with trial presentations.Collaborate with senior attorneys to devise case strategies, conduct legal research, assess risk, and offer practical solutions to clients' complex insurance coverage issues.Communicate directly with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case developments, while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.Stay current on emerging trends in insurance law and bad faith litigation, proactively integrating industry changes into case strategies and client guidance.Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and responses, with a focus on persuasive and comprehensive legal writing.Take and defend depositions, including expert witnesses, parties, and other key stakeholders, and represent clients in court hearings and motion practice across both state and federal jurisdictions.Provide trial support and actively participate in trial preparation, including developing trial strategies, preparing witnesses, and assisting with trial presentations.Collaborate with senior attorneys to devise case strategies, conduct legal research, assess risk, and offer practical solutions to clients' complex insurance coverage issues.Communicate directly with clients, providing legal advice and updates on case developments, while ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.Stay current on emerging trends in insurance law and bad faith litigation, proactively integrating industry changes into case strategies and client guidance.Benefits and Compensation :
Attorney compensation ranges from $125,000 to $220,000 annually, depending on experience, practice group, location, and other factors as permitted by law.
