">We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team at Boswell Engineering in South Hackensack, NJ.
Responsibilities
">- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations during the monthly close process.
- Assist with generating monthly accounts receivable reports to ensure accurate tracking of receivables.
- Prepare schedules and analyses required for quarterly reviews and year-end financial and FAR audits.
- Process payroll tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax requirements.
- Analyze data and generate reports using financial software and Excel.
- Implement upgrades to financial software systems.
- Identify and implement efficiency improvements in accounting processes.
Requirements
">To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a general accounting role or similar.
- A strong understanding of accounting regulations and procedures.
- Experience with financial systems and advanced Excel capabilities (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Familiarity with payroll processing and related tax compliance.
- A detail-oriented approach with strong analytical abilities.
