Junior Design Engineer (Highway)
Due to continuous growth in 2025, Boswell is seeking an additional Entry-Level Structural Engineer to join our South Hackensack, NJ Team. In this entry-level position, training and mentoring will be provided on a consistent basis to enhance the right Candidate’s growth, knowledge base and experience.
Responsibilities :
Ideally, this Engineer will pass the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) / Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within the first 4 years of employment.
In this role you will be responsible for design of roads, transportation project for municipal, county, and state roads.
Design Tools & Software : If you are strong in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil, we’ll train you on more!
Designs may include : Traffic signal design, and recreation projects varying from baseball, football, and soccer fields, both natural and artificial turf, to parks and playgrounds.
Will be required to spend several weeks each year on construction sites performing construction inspection of various types of transportation projects, typically at the municipal or county level
Adherence to internal standards, policies and procedures
Qualifications :
BS in Civil Engineering with some experience or interest in all of the above responsibilities
Prior AutoCAD Design experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D is highly desirable)
Prior MicroStation Design experience (OpenRoads is highly desirable)
