Description
Due to continued growth and Client requests, Boswell Engineering is seeking an Account Analyst/ Program Specialist who will to report directly to our Electric Utility Division's Department Head (DH). The candidate must be able to work independently with minimal direction/oversight of the DH.
Responsibilities:
- Become familiar with the accounting and billing system and procedures utilized for our electric utility Client
- Ensure all job numbers are linked to the proper FE purchase order (PO) and the proper FE work order (WO)
- Identify and eliminate any duplicate POs, Job Numbers, etc.
- Monitor POs as to when they are approaching full value, contact PMs and generate change order (CO) submissions ahead of time
- Generate and maintain a spreadsheet of all FE job numbers linked to POs, COs, with current effort, billings, etc.
- Prepare monthly accruals using information from the Project Managers and Construction Manager that include outstanding amounts owed through the previous month
- Generate, review, and submit all invoices on a monthly basis
- Develop a relationship with FE accounting and supply chain personnel in order to deal with issues with invoicing
- Check all expenses included in the invoicing to confirm all necessary backup is included
- Process job number/purchase order close out once job is complete
- Monitor inactive job numbers/purchase orders for possible project closeout
- Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma required with B.S. degree highly preferred
- Must have 1 year of strong familiarity and experience with utilizing accounting software
- Extensive experience using Microsoft Office components including Excel and above-average computer skills
- Excellent written, organizational and document control skills
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively with the client and co-workers
- Strong team player and collaborator
